JOB DESCRIPTION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with the Product Owner/Delivery Manager of his squad to have a very clear vision of core functionalities and functional / technical customizations expected by internal clients.
• Collaborate with the team to translate Users Stories into technical specifications and checks the estimations for the backlog.
• Works closely with data engineers assigned in his squad to develop data acquisition, data modelling or reports creation in Power BI etc
• Liaise with the architects to ensure architectural integrity of the software solution
• Liaise with the devops engineers to ensure the resources are deployed and the team has the accesses to start working in the projects
• Provides support to the engineers in case of bugs, issues etc
• Bringing his expertise, he helps the data engineers by doing knowledge sharing or trainings when and where needed
• Guarantees the development done by the data engineers in the projects of his squad
• Guides the team in writing the technical documentation for the projects in which they are involved
• Responsible for the correct and efficient development task allocation within his squad
• Participate on design the technical architecture of the software application in accordance with functional prerequisites and making sure the architecture model is stable & will easily support future changes
• Overseeing the quality and performance of deliveries and making sure the architecture model is properly implemented
• Responsible for the application of the guidelines existing in the Data department by his squad
• Participates in development testing („development testing”, „performance testing”).

REQUIRED SKILLS & PROFILE

• 5+ years of experience in obtaining the below knowledge
• Good knowledge on SQL databases/ no SQL databases/ Azure Data Factory or other ETL toolBasic/Intermediate knowledge on Spark / Datalake / Big Data storage (parquet files, delta lake etc)
• Good knowledge regarding DataMart modelization and usage of PowerBI
• Previously experience as a technical lead would be a plus
• Problem solving mindset, numerical and analytical skills
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field (a Master’s is a plus)
• Familiarity in using Agile Product Management (backlog, epics, stories, tasks, etc.) with Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Knowledge in Azure data products / services such as Azure Analysis Service, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Azure Purview, Azure Data lake Storage, etc.  (certifications are a plus)
• Good communication skills, listening & understanding, flexibility & teamwork
