Technical Project Manager

Job description and key responsibilities

    • Ensure the execution of projects with broadly delegated authority:

    • - Manage scoping and planning of Cloud projects

    • - Assigns and monitor work of technical personnel

    • - Realize proper documentation and reporting on the project

    • - Bring Project methodology to delivery teams

    • - Track costs, risks and issues
    • Evaluate and manage complex situations:

    • - Analyze multiple sources of information filters, interprets material and propose course of actions

    • - Manage and appropriately escalate
    • Coordinate and realize the scoping of Cloud projects

    • - Review and adapt the requirements documents provided by business teams and define project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities

    • - Work with architects and experts to build technical design and planning

    • - Consolidate quotation using Cloud quotation tools and assessing necessary workload
    • - Assist on evaluation of technological choices by querying providers and understanding enough about implications
    • Manage relationship and change management with business regarding the project
    • - Lead committees with business all along the project

    • - Be the point of contact between technical teams and business

    • - Prepare and work with business for any change management needed
    • Manage request management for Cloud

    • - Ensure that request for Cloud evolutions are managed

    • - Realize quotations if needed

    • - Implement requests in ITSM for provider and teams
    • Propose continuous improvement for Cloud project methodology:

    • - Propose and implement processes evolution to monitor and control resources, budget, risks and value to Business Objectives

  • - Manages and tracks Cloud team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to the plan and published progress reports 

Required Skills & Profile

  • 4-6+ years of Technical Project Manager experience with gradually increasing responsibilities and a demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, artifacts and tools
  • Firsthand experience in managing Cloud migration projects and possess high level understanding in the areas of Cloud technologies and system design (certification would be a plus)
  • An ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints 
  • Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and project team
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; technical teams, application/business owners, and subject matter experts 
  • Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work. 
  • Fluent English speaker.
